Fee Concession Instructions

As per the norms, based on the Family Income, the eligible students may avail the following concession:

  • 1. Most economically backward students (family income less than ₹1 lakh) shall get full remission of tuition fee.
  • 2. Other economically backward students (family income between ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh) shall get 2/3rd remission of tuition fee.

3. To avail the above fee concessions, please submit a valid Family Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Dept./DC/SDM/Tehsildar, etc. (issued on or after 1st April, 2025), along with the Notarized Affidavit.

4. The Family Income Certificate and Affidavit must be submitted on the SAMARTH portal while paying the remaining fee and/or updating fee details.

5. 5. If income certificate and affidavit are not submitted during the above-mentioned duration, no fee concession will be permitted and the student shall pay full fee (except SC/ST/PwD candidates).

For Affidavit format and certificate guidelines:

After freezing your seat at IIT Mandi, you must pay the remaining fee online. The payment link will be activated tentatively on 24th July, 2025.

  1. Class X Board Certificate or any DOB proof submitted at JoSAA portal
  2. Class XII mark sheets and passing certificate
  3. Medical Fitness Certificate submitted at JoSAA portal
  4. Admit Card of JEE (Advanced) 2025 Examination
  5. Provisional Offer and Seat Acceptance Letter issued by JoSAA
  6. Two passport size photographs
  7. Copy of Aadhar Card or Govt.-issued address proof (if Aadhar not available)
  8. Proof of payment made at the time of seat allocation to JoSAA
  9. Proof of payment of remaining fee to IIT Mandi
  10. Category Certificate (OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS/SC/ST/PwD/DS submitted at JoSAA portal)
  11. In case of OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS, the certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2025
  12. Family Income Certificate to claim Fee Concession/Scholarship (issued on or after April 1, 2025)
  13. Affidavit to avail Fee Concession/Scholarship
  14. Copy of Passport, VISA (for OCI/PIO/NRI/Foreign Nationals)

Note: In absence of documents at Sr. No. 12 & 13, full fee (as per Category I) must be paid.
